我们如何通过万能试验机帮助客户将研发时间缩短30%-我们与新能源汽车制造商的碳纤维测试故事

去年春天,我们的销售经理老陈接到了一个着急的电话——国内头部新能源车企的材料研发部张工语气里满是焦虑:“我们新一代车身碳纤维复合材料配方改了三版,每次测出来的数据都飘忽不定,项目已经拖了俩月,再解决不了,今年的量产计划就得往后推了。”原来,他们卡在这里了。

张工他们的目标很明确:用碳纤维复合材料替代传统钢材,把车身重量降15%,直接就能提升续航里程,这可是他们新车型的核心卖点。但测来测去总不对劲儿:

用原来的老设备测同一批试样,五次出来五个结果,数据偏差能到2%,研发团队根本不敢靠这数据拍板;

碳纤维复合材料破坏是一点点开裂的,老设备采样慢,抓不住中间的损伤过程,只知道最后断了,不知道为什么断;

最头疼的是夹试样,一拉伸就打滑,有时候试样没断夹具先松了,白忙活大半天,实验员都快熬不住了。

其实这不怪他们,很多做新材料研发的朋友都遇到过这种事儿:设备参数看着都差不多,真到高精度测试的时候,差一点就是差很多。

我们给出的定制方案,其实只改了两个地方

听完张工的需求,我们给他们配了一台50kN的微机控制电子万能试验机,针对碳纤维测试专门做了2项调整:

1)做了定制气动拉伸夹具,普通平夹具夹不住光滑的碳纤维试样,一拉就滑,打滑问题直接解决,同批次试样测试偏差控制在0.3%以内,数据稳定了不少。

2)升级了采样频率到10000Hz,原来的设备一秒只采一百个点,裂纹扩展的过程直接漏了, 每秒一万次采样,把整个破坏过程的曲线完完整整记下来,研发能看清每一步变化,测出来的结果,比我们预想的还好用。

设备到的第二天,我们工程师现场帮他们做了第一次测试:他们准备了三种不同碳纤维含量的试样,每种做五个平行样,从装夹到出报告,不到俩小时就全做完了。

张工他们盯着屏幕上的曲线看了好久——原来50%含量的试样,在拉伸到1.2%伸长率的时候会出现第一次损伤,之前的老设备根本没测出这个点!靠着这些精准的数据,他们很快就把配方调整到了55%的碳纤维含量:不仅拉伸强度达到了2350MPa,满足车身强度要求,重量还比原计划多降了3%,超出了性能目标。

最后客户拿到了实实在在的好处

项目验收的时候张工跟我们说,这台机器帮了他们大忙:

1.研发快了不止一点:原来测一周出不来结论,现在两天就能出一组可靠数据,整个配方研发周期直接缩短了30%,项目赶上了原定的量产计划;

2.再也不用担心质量出问题:现在每一批进厂的碳纤维原材料都能快速抽检,不合格的直接挡在门外,再也不会因为材料性能不稳耽误生产;

3.实打实省了钱:配方优化后碳纤维用量少了10%,单车材料成本降了8%,一年下来光是原材料就能省一千多万;

张工开玩笑说:“原来总觉得试验机就是个‘出数据的工具’,现在才知道,数据准不准,直接决定项目死活啊。”
